Currents

Just one more wish,
Before I close my eyes.
My weary mind disappears.
Trade words for song.
Sing what was wrong.
Days gone from dawn,
Swinging through my dream.
Up, out, and down.
Out through the sound.
Those lovely leaves,
They send spring with such relief.
Skies may still seem dark,
But still, that sun will shine.
What comes from new,
Will carry currents.
Bold and deep.
Reaching shores of years,
The masquerade gone sane.
Return from where I came.
I was here all along.

The Tide and The Sea

The tide turns a silhouette of change.
The resistance upon my face.
Forcing me to spin around.
Down to where I'll stay.
For now.
For what?
For this is why I pray.
New years, new fears.
With distant unapologetic ears.
Time has most certainly taken it's toll.
Rolling through the lowest of lows.
But as for now, I try to see.
What lies ahead.
The tide.
The sea.
